Tremella fuciformis, commonly called tremella or snow mushroom, contains naturally occurring polysaccharides known for their water-binding properties.
In the Hongo ritual, tremella is featured in the hydrating second step between cleansing and moisturizing.

Thoughtfully Prepared Extracts
Our mushroom extracts are prepared using a double-extraction process with water and alcohol. We do not add alcohol separately when blending the finished product; any residual alcohol comes from the mushroom extracts.
The extracts are produced at a concentrated 1:2 ratio of dried mushroom material to solvent using carefully sourced raw materials and purified artesian water.
Our chamomile extract is prepared with glycerin and contains no alcohol.

What is mushroom toner?
Mushroom toner is a facial toner formulated with mushroom-derived ingredients. Hongo Hydrating Mushroom Toner features reishi and tremella in a lightweight botanical mist designed to refresh and hydrate the skin between cleansing and moisturizing.
Which mushrooms are included?
The formula contains reishi, or Ganoderma lucidum, and tremella, or Tremella fuciformis. Tremella is also commonly known as snow mushroom.
When should I use it?
Use it after cleansing and before applying Mushroom Face Cream. It can also be misted throughout the day whenever you want a lightweight facial refresh.
Should I spray it directly onto my face?
You can mist it directly over the face and neck with your eyes closed or apply it using a cotton pad.
Can I use it over makeup?
Yes. Lightly mist it over makeup as a refreshing finishing mist. Allow it to settle naturally without rubbing.
Should I shake it before use?
Yes. Shake the bottle well before each use.
